Clean Air Wood Heaters
D+I was approached by Clean Air to assist in the development of an evolved design language for the next generation of freestanding + inbuilt clean air wood heaters. The Clean Air wood heaters feature a unique and advanced firebox, designed and engineered with the highest quality materials for optimum performance winter after winter. The Skamolex™ lined firebox patented heat exchange system enhances natural convection, pushing heat back into the fire, resulting in cleaner burning (15-Year Structural Firebox Warranty). The firebox has been constructed from 6mm thick steel + firebrick lined, generating a very high level of thermal efficiency delivering the best of both worlds — one of the lowest emission wood heater range on the market with a striking balance of contemporary + heritage looks.
Contemporary Heritage
The new generation of clean air wood heaters is available in either a freestanding or inbuilt design, with all available in either small, medium or large sizes. Their longer burn times, genuine overnight burn rates, lower emissions, higher efficiencies and better air flow throughout your home making Clean Air wood heaters the perfect choice when quality + style is paramount. The Freestanding range is the perfect choice when there is no existing fireplace or chimney, the large freestanding heater has been designed for even the most spacious of Australian homes, heating up to 350m², with low emissions of 0.76g/kb, 19.2kW heat output, and a burn time of up to 10 hours. The contemporary Freestanding range features heat exchange activation tubes for greater heat output, a double glazed curved front door creating a modern nook, a natural convention design allowing hot air to natural circulate around the the firebox and into the room. Control the temperature from your armchair with a 3-speed fan remote control, get a better view of the flame with side viewing glass areas that increase radiant heat output. The large heritage inset wood heater range features a modern twist on traditional design and is intended for larger homes of up to 330m², unlike open fireplaces, this range has been designed for high heat output and safe overnight burning (Emissions 0.7g/kg, 15.9kW heat output, burn time of upto 9 hours). Luxurious, the Clean Air Large Heritage Inbuilt Wood Heater commands attention at the centre of any room. Featuring a slim fascia, high arch and optional decorative patterned trim, this timeless wood heater doesn’t rest its laurels on its aesthetics. The Heritage inbuilt fireplace can range be installed into existing chimney or installed with a Zero Clearance Option into a false Chimney in a new home.
The range of Clean Air wood heaters are designed to burn hardwood and are tested to the most stringent of world standards. The current joint Australian and New Zealand Standards 4013/4012 measure particulate emissions and efficiency and we are proud to say our heaters exceed the requirements of these Standards.
