Flatrock Wetsuit
Flatrock Wetsuits was founded in 2018 with the vision of bringing the surf industry back to Australia. Based in Sydney’s Bronte Beach, Flatrock asked D+I to design a wetsuit that was tailored to Australian conditions. It needed to be light enough to be comfortable in Summer, and offer the ultimate in comfort, fit and mobility.
A second skin.
D+I specified premium, limestone-based Japanese neoprene for the Flatrock wetsuit. This ultra-flexible neoprene feels like a second skin and frees up arm mobility, allowing a full range of motion when paddling. Lightweight material was used for the arms, neck band and waist, with thicker panels on the front and back of the suit. This unique design helps to regulate body temperature in all conditions, while making the suit comfortable and easy to get in and out of.
