Goki & D+I set out to revolutionise the Hostel experience for Guests, Staff & Operators. The Goki Smart Hostel Management system provides a streamlined experience across all major journey touch-points: pre-arrival, check-in, in-stay, and check-out. The hostel management ecosystem consists of the Goki: SmartLock, SmartLock Pro, SmartDisc, Operator Management Dashboard + Guest Smartphone application. The guest application provides a new way to discover hostels, make booking + payments, and enables a streamlined low-touch check-in/check-out process. SmartLock is the Goki all-in-one solution — SmartLock integrates with most major PMS & reduces the hassles and costs of guest access. No more plastic key-cards, no more expensive encoders, no more difficulty retrieving lock audits, or dealing with key-cards that don’t work — Smartphones become the key. Looking for a retro-fit solution? Goki SmartDiscs connect with any existing lock in minutes — making dumb locks smart (Mobile + PIN access). Existing locks function in exactly the same way – you can still encode key cards for guests according to operator or guest preference.
Goki is the world’s first smart lock system to utilise Lithium batteries (Lithium lasts for 6 years and can power up to 50,000 consecutive opens!). When batteries are running low, operators are automatically notified via the Management Dashboard. To charge, simply pop the Disc into the SmartDoc. Discs utilise a low-powered Bluetooth connection to communicate with locks and to sync with the operator management dashboard.

With the Goki Guest app — Your phone is the key #unlocktheworld. For Guests, we’ve made the booking, payments, and check-in/check-out as easy as ordering an Uber. No long queues at reception, filling in registration forms or drawn-out check-out processes when you’re ready to move. Guests check-in via the app and simply get a notification when the room is ready. The Guest App has been designed to enhance the backpacking experience — secure contact-less check-in + check-out + room access, the discovery of nearby activities, plus the ability to connect with other guests or easily communicate with staff (+ sentiment scoring).
