Whole Body Vibration
Whole Body Vibration Machines stimulate and activate muscles, joints, and reflexology zones in ways many other forms of exercise can’t — without placing unnecessary harmful impact or stresses on the body. Hypervibe approached D+I to assist in the development + engineering of a new range of highly effective pivotal vibration machines. The Whole Body Vibration market has been littered with numerous inferior offerings that often don’t match up to their effectiveness claims. The Hypervibe range (G17, G14 and G10) needed the right combination of power and features to generate positive effects on the body in a significant way - Simulation of muscles and other reflexes, increase in gravitational load, mobilisation of joints and muscles, rapid heating of joint and muscles. The Hypervibe range needed to incorporate a pivotal vibration platform (platform tilts around a central pivot point like a see-saw, left and right sides alternate up and down while the centre remains fixed) to allow a greater transmission of vibration energy at higher amplitudes (more muscles stimulation when compared to a lineal platform operating at the same frequency). D+I was challenged to develop a striking physical brand language for Hypervibe that could be carried across an expanding product range, whilst balancing the specific frequency, amplitude, and gravitational load requirements needed to ensure Hybervibe machines delivered on the benefits promised by whole body vibration exercise.
Superior Results
When you stand or place other parts of your body on Hypervibe’s moving platform, the repetitive upward movement of the platform sends pulses of kinetic energy up through your body. You control the strength of these energy waves using the machine’s control panel. As each wave moves up through your body some of the energy is absorbed by the tissues of your body and is converted to heat. Muscles and joints feel and operate better when they are warm. Whole Body Vibration has been proven to create a warming effect in muscles and joints faster and easier than other types of exercise. The upwards movement of the platform also causes movement in the joints of your body which has a mobilising effect and causes the muscles and tissues surrounding the joints to stretch and vibrate. D+I worked with Hypervibe to develop the G10 (Compact), G14 (Home use), and G17 (Busines user) whole body vibration range. The range boats frequency ranges from 5-35Hz, amplitude of 7-8mm, G-Force ranges of 0.1g-17g. The G14 + G17 models feature a user-friendly touch screen interface to control vibration delivery, or access 100+ training programs, and equipped with wireless connectivity via Bluetooth. The G14 and G17 models feature a unique design innovation - ‘The Swan Neck’ - this allows a wide range of dynamic exercised without the restrictions that other machines have with vertical mounts or large sidebars. Independently tested the G17 Pro V2 achieves 4 times more stimulation than the industry average, with most vibration machines failing to reach the minimum 10G gravity force that scientific results prove are need to achieve measurable results to the body.
