D+I’s Richard Byers invited on to the panel for the Korean Good Design Awards
D+I are honoured to announce our involvement with the Korean Good Design Awards. We were invited to be the Australian representative on the esteemed panel of judges for the 2015 programme. We are delighted to send Richard Byers, Head of Concept from our Melbourne studio to represent us on the panel.
Richard has been part of D+I for over 10 years, first working from our Sydney studio on many of D+I’s flagship banking terminals and medical products. He then travelled abroad to Germany and Japan for a number of years working on diverse projects and many artistic endeavours. On his return to Australia he re-joined D+I and now heads up the creative team in our Melbourne studio.
Richard’s design knowledge has depth and sensitivity, his passion for the arts, music and visual communication adds a unique ingredient to his industrial and product design background. He sees the importance of making meaningful connections between people and the products we encounter every day, his insights will bring a down-to-earth perspective to the evaluation process. Richard is a fantastic ambassador for Australian design.
Thank you to the Korean Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP) who run the Korean Good Design Awards for this truly great opportunity. We look forward to the seeing the outcomes and some award-winning projects.
