Purina Dog Harness

The Purina Dog Harness is part of a range of premium pet products designed by D+I.

Our design for the harness eliminates the need to manipulate the dog’s legs through loops when attaching the harness. The harness is simply passed over the dog’s head (whether it’s lying down or sitting up) and the front leads are threaded under the dog’s chest. This approach is a lot like hugging the dog — a comfortable position that reduces stress on the animal.

The harness can be configured to suit any activity — simply attach the preferred walking or running leash, or the seatbelt loop.

Keeping pets safe.

Extensive testing was undertaken with our canine ‘crash test dummies’ to develop a tether that could be certified to protect pets in vehicle collisions at speeds in excess of 60km/h.

We developed a unique solution that employs single-piece construction, with a two point harness with provision for a variety of accessories to be attached. This design reduces points of weakness and enables a strong seatbelt loop to be attached. The loop used tough webbing combined with stainless steel and aluminium construction and laser-etched details.
