The Passage Range

The Sea to Summit Passage Range is a versatile, eco-friendly kitchenware collection designed for outdoor enthusiasts seeking a perfect balance of weight, durability + packability. Comprising BPA-free bowls, plates, cups, and cutlery, this innovative range caters to mid-length adventures in diverse climates and conditions, elevating mealtime experiences in the great outdoors.

D+I were tasked by Sea to Summit with the development of a camp kitchenware collection that would simplify outdoor mealtimes for a wide range of adventurers. The range needed to be lightweight, durable, and easy to clean catering to different types of adventures, climates, and conditions. The result is the Passage Range, a versatile and compact product line that offers durable, lightweight, and eco-friendly outdoor kitchenware. Our focus was on ensuring seamless integration and functionality across the range, achieving a balance between weight, durability, and packability. Key design decisions include nesting and stacking capabilities for ease of storage, Cool Grip fins for comfortable handling, mechanical snaps between utensils, and the use of BPA-free, glass-reinforced polypropylene for strength and easy cleaning. The Passage Range features a cohesive design language showcasing bold colour choices + refined minimalism.

All Passage range products have been designed with a systems approach with carefully considered product dimensions, proportions, and profiles allowing nesting and stacking. Thoughtful design elements, consistent diameters and the integration of rib features not only improves functionality but works to create a visually appealing + tactile experience. The Passage Range uses BPA-free, glass-reinforced polypropylene, a food-grade material that is microwave and dishwasher safe. The choice of durable, high-quality materials ensures longevity and resistance to wear and tear. The range addresses user needs, from handling hot meals to maximising storage space, ensuring a seamless outdoor culinary experience. The cohesive design aesthetic across the entire range showcases a modern, minimalist look, and builds upon the distinct Sea to Summit brand identity.
