Industrial Design: Autonomous Security Vehicle (ASV)
Stealth Technologies, an Australian based provider of advanced autonomous vehicle solutions, is harnessing the power of artificial intelligence, computer vision, and purpose-built robotics to address the growing needs of the Global Perimeter Security Market. In collaboration with leading universities, technology research bodies, and industry, Stealth has developed the Autonomous Security Vehicle (ASV) platform to enhance the operational performance of asset protection activities across several key sectors: Defence, Government, Transport, Utilities, Communications, and Energy. D+I was tasked with the conceptual visualisation of Stealth’s autonomous security vehicle platform, demonstrating its application in various patrol and security scenarios.
Automation Elevates Focus on Safety and Rehabilitation
Stealth and Honeywell deliver 24/7 Autonomous Perimeter Testing to Justice Facilities.
Stealth Technologies, in collaboration with Honeywell International Inc. and the WA Department of Justice, has developed a fully autonomous robotic security vehicle for the Eastern Goldfields Regional Prison in Kalgoorlie. This innovative vehicle inspects, tests, and verifies the integrity of the secure perimeter, enabling these procedures to be carried out 24/7, 365 days a year, without human intervention. Key to this project is the seamless integration of the vehicle into the existing technological infrastructure at the facility and Honeywell’s Enterprise Buildings Integrator (EBI) platform. EBI, a globally deployed solution in thousands of systems, is adept at connecting, monitoring, and managing core building functions, encompassing comfort, security, and safety aspects. This integration of the ASV with EBI represents a significant advancement, bringing together autonomous security capabilities with proven building management systems.
Military-Grade Surveillance
Total Perimeter Security: Autonomous, Electric, Long-Range, Multi-Terrain Surveillance
The vehicle operates within secure isolated networks and is equipped with advanced computer vision for facial and number plate recognition. Its capabilities extend to several automated perimeter security system testing procedures, including microwave sensor testing with purpose-built robotic actuators, photoelectric sensor testing (PE), and electromagnetic sensor testing (EM), along with fully autonomous missions. Additionally, the vehicle features an onboard collision avoidance system, emergency braking, autonomous object tracking, incident alert lighting, a two-way intercom, high-definition camera zoom, and live military-grade video feed capabilities. ASV is fully electric and capable of navigating diverse terrains for 8 hours on a single fast charge.
