STRIKE TRIKE

Strike Motors Three-Wheeled High-Performance Vehicle

D+I was tasked to design an eye-catching, high-performance, consumer recreational vehicle for limited-production volume; delivering both a unique, sporty-aesthetic and an engaging driving experience, while also being comfortable and un-intimidating to master.  Beyond aesthetics, ergonomics and usability were pivotal considerations in crafting the cockpit layout; the inclusion of a Targa-style convertible roof provides for all-weather enjoyment, while the engineering-development ensured every aspect of the design comply with relevant Australian Design Rules (ADR).

A Turbocharged Thrill

Built for the Track with Unmatched Acceleration and Dynamic Handling

The two-seater Strike is powered by a remastered, high-performance 1340cc Hayabusa power plant, paired to a 6-speed sequential gear-box and delivering 194BHP (brake-horsepower).  With an engine performance comparable to a Volkswagen Golf GTI, Strike’s lightweight package accelerates from 0 to 100km/hr in just 3.5 seconds. Excellent  stability, amazing cornering characteristics and more than capable stopping performance complete the package.

State-of-the-Art digital tools employed to sculpt Strike’s performance.

In developing the Strike, we employed the latest industry-leading digital-surfacing tools and techniques to craft its emotive, aerodynamic form, ensuring that every feature serves both form and functional-purpose; and CFD analysis played a central role in refining every contour, minimising drag while enhancing downforce.
