Millennium 4GT Train Seats

4GT Reversible Train Seat: Specifically designed for the new Millennium 4GT passenger trains.

The 4GT reversible train seat was designed specifically for the new Millennium 4GT passenger train, introduced to the Sydney metropolitan rail network on 1st July 2002. The reversible train seat was engineered for maximum safety and comfort, built-tough, designed to withstand the rigours of commuter travel, utilising advanced materials technology and manufacturing techniques.

Safe. Comfortable. Built to last.

The enclosed walkover mechanism was developed to allow commuters to easily flip the seat orientation with just one hand. The mechanism was designed to ensure smooth operation (controlled movement + speed + force), eliminating seat slamming. The seats have been engineered to be resilient to train vibrations and for modular scalability - single, double and triple seater configurations as appropriate. The seat features a fire-proof fabric reinforced with a stainless steel threaded mesh to ensure it is vandal-proof, protecting the seat from damage (I.e. slashing) and protecting users from the risk of sharp object penetration, such as hypodermic needles.

Built tough for a 20+ year life cycle.

Designed for the safety + comfort of millions of transit customers each year. Designed and engineered for local manufacture in Australia.
