Zip Micro™ Taps
Zip Water, known for its instant filtered boiling and chilled water systems, collaborated with D+I to design the next generation of taps for the new Zip Micro™ under-bench drinking water system. The goal was to develop a tap that fits modern kitchen aesthetics and adheres to Zip's standards of functionality and safety. The resulting Zip Micro™ Tap was developed using Human Centred Design principles and extensive user testing.
Simply Modern
The Zip Micro™ Tap features a simple, modern design available in matte black or bright chrome finishes. It has an intuitive twist interface that allows users to access boiling water by twisting counter-clockwise and chilled water by twisting clockwise. The tap also offers auto and manual fill options, integrated LED indicators, a safety lock, and a maintenance indicator light. Designed for modern simplicity, the intuitive twist tap seamlessly integrates into any kitchen, delivering pure-tasting water.

Integrating with the under-bench Zip Micro™ water filtration and delivery system, which is 37% narrower than previous models, the Zip Micro™ Tap complements this compact unit, making it suitable for almost all compact kitchen spaces. The design eliminates water use in the chilling process, achieving 100% water efficiency. The Zip Micro™ Tap is available in boiling or boiling and chilled water combinations, offering a blend of aesthetics, functionality, and sustainability.
